The Hauppauge Public Library loves our volunteers!
If you are attending a volunteer opportunity to fulfill a specific requirement for school or another organization, please check with your teacher or advisor to make sure they will accept the community service hours.
What We Do
In-person volunteer opportunities are for teens in Grades 6-12, unless otherwise stated, and are run either by staff members or instructors who have been hired by the Library.
The opportunities we provide benefit the library and sometimes community organizations as well. And at the same time, we hope that these opportunities provide the volunteer with a positive experience that will encourage them to want to do more!
